In order to tryout you must be confident working in base groups without a frontspot.

Flyers must be able to demonstrate the following skills during the tryout: a stretch sequence at extension (heel stretch, arabesque, scale and scorpion - in no particular order) and at least single twist from front and side shape; double (from elevator at least); a one trick basket (at least); 180 and 360 (full-ups) to prep and extension (two foot at least) and switch-ups to extension.

Bases/backspots must be able to demonstrate basing/backspoting skills at both prep and extension levels; primary and secondary base libs, twist cradles (two-leg doubles and one-leg singles at least), basket tosses, 180s and 360s (full-ups) to prep and extension (two foot at least) and switch-ups to extension.

Tumbling Skills:

All cheerleaders will need to perform a suicide/front splat during tryouts.

If you have other tumbling skills, you must be able to demonstrate your standing and running tumbling during tryouts if you wish those skills to be taken into consideration:

Standing tumbling: back handspring or above

Running tumbling: back handspring series or above.

 

To be on LCS you must be available to train on Wednesday evenings in central London. Please be aware that the competition season runs from September to July, during which time you will be expected to attend each week.
